"Refund came through, just not quickly"
I did get my refund in the end, but it took longer than I expected. As someone who keeps a close eye on my budget, waiting around for it was a bit frustrating. It all worked out eventually, but I wish the process had been faster.

"Am I missing something, or were some basics just not there?"
Am I missing something, or should a flat at least have a working kettle, decent Wi-Fi, and a clean shower? The kettle didn’t work, the Wi-Fi was weak, and the shower felt kind of gross. Nothing dramatic, but it made the stay more annoying than it needed to be.

"Decent spot, but not perfect"
I stopped by and thought the place was nice overall, but the quality was just okay. Based on this visit, I’d say it’s probably one of those places that’s fine if you’re nearby, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

"Felt overpriced for what it was"
I was in a good mood when I got there and was hoping for a nice experience, but it was just okay. The place wasn’t bad, but after paying so much and then seeing all the extra fees, it really didn’t feel worth it.

"I did manage to find a place..."
I did manage to find a place in the end, so the booking part was okay, but the checkout process felt clunky and took longer than it should have. It wasn’t a huge disaster, but it was annoying enough that I’d expect some kind of small credit or compensation for the inconvenience.

"Checkout price was higher than expected"
I was okay with the price while I was browsing, but once I got to checkout, extra fees showed up and changed the total quite a bit. From my experience, it feels better when all costs are clear upfront, so this came across as a little misleading

"Regretted booking because of the location"
The place itself was fine, so I can’t really complain about that, but I definitely wish I’d picked somewhere else. The location was nowhere near as convenient as I expected, and I ended up doing long walks just to get to shops or transport. It got annoying quickly and made me regret booking it...

"Check-in was actually a mess"
I had to stand outside with all my bags because the code they gave me didn’t work, and support took forever to get back to me. It was actually such a bad way to start the trip. I definitely wouldn’t use this again

"Had me worried at first, but it got fixed"
I was a bit frustrated at first because it took longer than I expected, but once they finally got to it, they sorted the problem out. So yeah, not the quickest experience, but it did get fixed in the end

"Just wasn’t sure I could trust it"
I spent a bit of time looking through Plum Guide, not a full deep dive or anything, but I just didn’t come away feeling confident enough to actually book. Some of the listing info felt almost too polished, and I couldn’t really tell what had been properly checked versus what was just presented nicely. Maybe I missed something, and maybe other people have had a better experience, but for me it didn’t feel trustworthy enough

I booked through Plum Guide, the host communication was really lacking. I had a few questions before check-in, but replies were either super short, came hours later, or just didn’t come at all. Not exactly what you want when you’re trying to plan a trip, you know? It made things feel way more stressful than they needed to before we even arrived. For the price, I really expected at least basic, helpful communication

I felt a bit pressured to book this place because the photos on Plum Guide made it look really stylish, but it didn’t feel like that when we arrived. The decor was tired and random, with scuffed furniture and a lot of cheap-looking bits around the place.
For the price, I was expecting something much more put together. Instead it felt like someone had just rushed to fill the room with trendy pieces without much thought. I really wanted to like it, but it was disappointing.

"I had to cancel earlier than planned..."
I had to cancel earlier than planned and didn’t expect it to cost me that much. At first I figured, okay, maybe there’ll be a small fee or something reasonable. Nope. Suddenly I’m staring at the amount I lost like, are you kidding me? Anyway, lesson learned — I won’t be booking with them again.

"The vetting didn’t really convince me"
I booked through Plum Guide because I’d heard the homes were carefully vetted, so I was probably paying extra attention to the details. A few basic things in our place just seemed overlooked, and the photos definitely made it look better than it felt in person. Support was fine when we reached out, but I couldn’t really shake the feeling that the whole “strictly checked” promise was a bit overstated.

"Wish I had read the reviews first"
The listing was misleading. The photos made the place look way nicer than it actually was, and a few details in the description were just flat-out wrong. I really wish I had read the reviews first because I probably would’ve avoided booking it. When I reached out to support, they didn’t do much to make it right, so the whole experience was disappointing.

"Nice listings, but not as smooth as I expected"
I had high expectations for plumguide because the site looks polished and the property photos are really nice. It is a good site overall, but the actual search experience felt a bit clunkier than I thought it would. Some pages were slow to load, and the filters were useful but not always super clear. I did eventually find something that worked for me, but it took more time and effort than I expected.
